WHY AERATE POND WATER?
Aeration produces oxygen-rich water. This oxygen rich water is essential to the ecological balance of the pond or lake, and to the survival of fish and other pond life. Several factors combine to reduce the oxygen level, such as drought, prolonged periods of overcast skies without rain, large amounts of decaying organic matter, and heavy ice and snow cover. Any of these can result in a partial or total fish kill.

HOW DOES POND AERATION AFFECT ALGAE GROWTH?
Pond aeration slows the growth of certain types of algae. The constant mixing and rippling of the water surface diffuses the sunlight and makes it more difficult for algae to spread.

This windmill is ideal for remote areas with no electricity or where low operational cost is required. Complete with lower twelve blade turbine, and direct drive diaphragm compressor which will begin to operate with 6 mp.h. wind. Unit provides approximately 1 cubic foot of air per minute at 30 psi. Air is delivered through flexible air tubing to diffuser in the lake or pond water. This unit provides a new tool for aerating ponds at an economical price.
